Proston State School students and community members paused to remember those who have served their country on Tuesday morning.
On 11 November, the school hosted a Remembrance Day service followed by a moment’s silence at 11am.
Proston RSL Sub-branch member Geoff Ferris gave a commemorative address, and the students took turns placing wreaths at the school’s small cenotaph.
Remembrance Day acknowledges those who have died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
It is also the anniversary of the Armistice of 1918, which ended the fighting in World War I.
