A group of four university students from Cherbourg received a tour of Queensland’s Parliament last month.

Queensland University of Technology students Sienna Murray, Mia Sandow, Katie Langton and Jennakye Simpson were invited to Parliament by Nanango MP Deb Frecklington.

The students witnessed a session of Parliament and spoke with Queensland premier David Crisafulli. Jennakye also took part in the Eric Deeral Indigenous Youth Parliament toward the end of November.

“These students are a powerful reminder of the talent and potential within our regional communities,” said Ms Frecklington.

“By pursuing higher education and stepping into leadership roles, they are inspiring others in Cherbourg to see what’s possible.

“I want to thank Premier Crisafulli for taking the time to speak with the students and encourage them on their journey as emerging leaders.”
