A woman is missing after a fire which destroyed her home in Mulgildie on Wednesday morning.
Patricia Young, 65, was last seen at her Oak Street home in the North Burnett town of Mulgildie, south of Monto, around 1:30am on Wednesday, 11 February.
Just over an hour later, at 2:41am, firefighters responded to reports her home was completely engulfed in flames.
Around half of the structure collapsed as a result of the blaze. When firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 4:35am, they were unable to locate Ms Young at the scene.
Police declared a crime scene at the Oak Street house as they searched for the 65-year-old.
The missing woman’s family members hold concerns for her safety as she lives with an undisclosed medical condition.
Queensland Police believe Ms Young may be traveling in a silver 2016 Toyota RAV4 SUV with the Queensland registration 330YLI.
Ms Young is white-skinned, has blonde to grey hair and blue eyes.
Police have called on members of the public to look out for the missing 65-year-old, and report any sightings of her to Policelink on police.qld.gov.au/reporting.
