A severe thunderstorm is expected to hit parts of Wide Bay and Burnett.
On Tuesday, 23 February, at 2.49pm the Bureau of Meteorology warned that damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding.
Locations which may be affected include Kingaroy, Cherbourg and Nanango.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
• Move your car under cover or away from trees;
• Secure loose outdoor items;
• Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters;
• Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees;
• Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm; and
• Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
