A man has been airlifted after he was crushed under a boat trailer, in the South Burnett on Friday afternoon.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the injured man to hospital after it was tasked around 5pm.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said bystanders had reportedly pulled the man out from under the trailer.

“It’s believed the man had been working on the trailer, when it fell off a jack and crushed him,” they said.

QAS paramedics initially treated the man and transferred him to a nearby oval, where the helicopter landed.

The man, aged in his 40s, was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

He suffered multiple upper body injuries.
