1. Wondai Mother’s Day Classic

Wondai Mother’s Day Classic will be held on Sunday 9 May. Registrations on the day with a Lions Sausage sizzle and Raffles. Register from 7am with an 8am start. The charity fun run/ walk will be held along the South Burnett Rail Trail at Wondai.

2. Mother’s Day Special at Tomo’s Diner, Kingaroy

A special three-course set menu, only available on Mothers Day 9th May 2021. Menu runs all day.

5. Burrandowan Races

Head on out to the iconic Burrandowan Picnic Races with mum. Dress up and have a picnic while you cheer on the horses as a family. The five-day race program will be held on Saturday, 8 May.

6. Art Gallery openings

If your mum has an artistic streak, while not sneak out to one of the local art gallery exhibitions this weekend?

Kingaroy Regional Gallery’s latest exhibition is titled ’All the Bees are (not) dying’ with multi-media artworks by Peter Breen, Samuel Chen, Dominique Chen, Leonie Chinn, Belinda Sinclair, Paola Milani, Darryl Rogers and Soma Lumia/ Jim Moginie. The gallery’s official opening will be held on Friday 7 May at 6pm and a free public art forum will be held on Saturday 8 May from 3pm to 5pm.

Meanwhile at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery, local artists have collaborated to bring the ’More than Sisters’ exhibition. It will feature works from ’Two Sisters Art’ consisting of artists Tania Corbet, Raylee Koch, Selena Stevens, Elisha Wolter, Fiona Eilliott, Wendy Corstiaans and Trish Erkens. The official opening will be held on Friday 7 May from 6pm.

7. Head to the show as a family

Mundubbera is hosting their annual agricultural show this Saturday, 8 May and it is sure to be loads of fun for the whole family.
