Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advise Burnett residents of a currently ongoing grass fire at Hivesville.

According to a QFES spokesperson, three crews are currently in attendance at the South Burnett location, with first responders arriving at approximately 3:20pm.

The spokesperson explained that the fire covers an area of approximately 30m2 of bush, with firefighters working to keep the perimeter safe.

QFES also advise of a potential rubbish fire at Durong, with reports received of smoke emanating from a metal skip bin; however, as of yet, no fire crews have been dispatched to the location.

Burnett residents are urged to stay alert and report any potential or ongoing fires to the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service by dialing Triple Zero (000) in an emergency or 13 74 68 for non-life threatening situations.

More to come.
