A good crowd turned out on Saturday, 9 October, to enjoy the first market to be held in Kumbia for more than a decade.

Visitors and locals browsed stalls selling everything from plants and honey to handcrafts and books, while enjoying the barbecued food and drink provided by the Kumbia Memorial Hall Committee.

The market also featured a pop-up café, Josie’s Tearoom, which served fine coffee and Devonshire teas in the hall.

Music by local country singer Richie Hamilton rounded off the morning.

The Kumbia Market will be held at the Kumbia Memorial Hall on the second Saturday of every month.
