Kingaroy Shoppingworld will again join forces with St Vincent De Paul Society to ensure South Burnett children in need receive the necessary items to start their 2022 school year.

Operation Backpack will run from 29 December until Monday, 24 January with all stationary items distributed by St Vincent De Paul once the 2022 school semester begins.

Kingaroy Shoppingworld Centre Manager Chris O’Rourke was thrilled to be part of the initiative.

“Kingaroy Shoppingworld are excited to partner with St Vincent De Paul to help local families with their back-to-school needs. Our donation boxes in the centres will be available for customers to make contributions and help local children get ready for school,” he said.

Items needed include pens, lead pencils, highlighters, rulers, erasers, glue sticks, lunch boxes, rolls of clear contact, note pads, water bottles, coloured pencils, pencil cases and backpacks.

All donations can be left in the ‘Operation Backpack’ box outside Kingaroy Big W.
