Kingaroy Probus Club recently welcomed their new committee and are keen to see some new faces at their meetings too.
On Tuesday, 5 April, the Kingaroy Probus Club had their changeover lunch to officially welcome the new executive they appointed during their Annual General Meeting last month.
Probus provides retirees with the opportunity to connect socially and is open to anyone retired or semi-retired.
The Kingaroy Probus Club is a varied group of people who have regular social outings, take trips of interest together and enjoy learning from guest speakers. It is a not a fundraising organisation.
The Kingaroy club holds monthly meetings as well as lunch outings visiting places like Bell, Cooyar and the Bunya Mountains.
Secretary Rhonda Smith said they were keen for new members to join in -at one stage they had 90 members, but numbers have now dwindled down to 66.
“I really enjoy the mix of people at the meetings,” she said.
“The guest speakers are often informative and interesting and I really enjoy it.”
