Get gifts at gallery pop-up

Still looking for that unique gift for that hard-to-buy for loved one?

Christmas at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery is a joyful time, with the gallery transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

The three galleries and Shop 38 are currently filled with specialty items of arts and crafts created by Burnett artisans, and those with connections to the South Burnett.

The cool, quiet gallery offers shoppers a unique experience and chance to snag their choice of locally produced items. New stock is still arriving, so be sure to pop by the gallery to find that perfect gift.

The KAT team behind the pop-up Christmas shop reported that the official viewing evening for the KAT Christmas Pop-up Shop on Saturday, 22 November was a great success.

There were lots of happy shoppers who took the opportunity to be there for a festive evening, enjoying the drinks and nibblies provided, as well as the lucky door prizes of pop-up shop vouchers and giveaways.

The opening night attendees delighted in the chance to shop while stocks were full, buying gifts from the wide range of quality items on display.

The 5th annual pop-up shop event was officially opened by South Burnett councillor Danita Potter who congratulated KAT on their successful operation of the Kingaroy Art Gallery on behalf of the South Burnett Regional Council for the past 10 years. The opening was also attended by Mayor Kathy Duff, and councillors Ros Heit and Deb Dennien.

The KAT team has prided themselves on creating a chance for South Burnett artists to sell their wares at Christmas since the inaugural KAT Christmas Pop-up Shop in 2021.

The pop-up shop was first established to encourage local arts and crafts in the region and give the artists an opportunity to sell their works and keep their hard-earned dollars local.

KAT Christmas Pop-Up Shop coordinator Fay Stumm thanked her team of volunteers for their help with setting up and helping create a bit of Christmas magic for local artists.

The KAT Christmas Pop-Up Shop will remain open until 12noon on Wednesday, 24 December.
