Get ready to let out your inner Aussie.
The Blackbutt Showgrounds will see fun and celebrations this Australia Day, as the Blackbutt Benarkin Lions Club hosts the event, with the support of South Burnett Regional Council as sponsors.
On Monday, 26 January, the day kicks off from 8am, with 9.30am to see a special announcement of the South Burnett Regional Council award nominees, and winners of the Local Achiever, Lifetime Achievement and Volunteer Group/person of the year.
There will be plenty of fun and games for all ages, with musical entertainment by local David Lynch.
The free community breakfast will serve up bacon and egg rolls, as well as sausage on bread, free tea/ coffee and cordial for the kids.
The Lion’s Club have some fun family friendly activities planned, including gumboot and crocs throwing competitions.
The Australia Day celebrations will wrap-up at around 12noon.
