Burnett to Band Together

Mr Q Band will be one of the groups performing at the festival.

Five talented musical groups will be heading to the big stage for the South Burnett’s very own regional music festival.

‘Burnett Bands Together’ will be kicking off from 5pm at the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt on Saturday, 15 January, 2022. Live music will be running from 5pm to 11pm.

Hitting the stage will be Barambah Big Band, Soul Good, Rufus Jack, Ryza, Mudgard3n and Mr Q.

Organisers Ryza’s Rob ‘Fitzy’ Fitz-Herbert and Mr Q’s Tony Cisneros thank the community for their anticipated support of the event.

“We are super stoked to be organising this event with all regional providers, and this community really does have an amazing array of talented music industry professionals,” he said.

“Mark your diaries now, make sure you bring your camp chairs and your dancing shoes. This will be an event not to be missed, as we celebrate our local music industry.”

This is a free event for all ages, and is funded through the Region Arts Service Network and Central Queensland University.

The funds have been provided to financially support performing artists who have been so hard hit due to Covid-19 challenges and loss of work. The bands will be playing to bring the communities back together as they all recover from Covid-19 by celebrating with a live concert, presenting bands from across the region.

Local Rotary and Lions clubs will be on hand to run the bar and provide a BBQ, with all profits from the provision of food and beverages be retained by Rotary and the Lions for the benefit of the community -SES will be in hand to provide logistical support for the event. Kingaroy music store Musicians Oasis will be providing audio and sound engineering for the event and local ‘hype man’, Damo Martoo will MC the event.
