UPDATE: Police have been able to find the missing 59-year-old man reported missing from Everton Park safe and well.
EARLIER: Police have commenced a search and rescue operation to help find a man who was last seen on a property near Kilkivan.
The 59-year-old Everton Park man was reported missing on Sunday, 14 March.
He was last seen leaving a Stellmach St residence at Everton Park around 8am last Sunday in a 2011 Toyota Landcruiser. This vehicle was then found yesterday on a property west of Kilkivan.
Police are appealing for any motorists that may have travelled along the Wide Bay Hwy in Cinnabar last night, who may have seen this man walking to contact police.
A land and air search is currently underway in the nearby bushland.
Police and family hold concerns for the man’s welfare as this behaviour is out of character and he has not been heard from since.
The man is described as Caucasian, around 180cm, tall, is of a solid build with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing navy blue shorts, a red shirt, white thongs and a tanned hat.
Anyone who may have information about the wearabouts of the man or the four-wheel-drive he was in is urged to contact police immediately.
